Signal track record
Backtests replay the past with hindsight. This page doesn't: once a day the screener runs every built-in preset and the journal writes down what it found, before anyone knows how it turns out. Returns are filled in later from closed daily candles.
How the journal works
- Forward only: a signal is recorded on the day it fires, from the data available at that moment. Nothing is backfilled or re-scored.
- No cherry-picking: every built-in preset is tracked, and each day's ten largest matches by market cap are recorded automatically. Rows are never edited or deleted.
- Entry is the close of the last completed daily candle (00:00 UTC); the scan runs in the first hours of the UTC day. Exits are the daily closes 1, 7 and 30 days later.
- Universe: the top 100 coins by market cap on the daily timeframe, excluding stablecoins and tokenized assets. It is the same scan as the public preset pages.
- Returns are gross: fees, spreads, slippage and funding are not deducted.
- Numbers are shown only once a horizon has at least 20 settled signals. Below that the sample is too small to mean anything.
The journal has just started
The first signals are recorded at the start of the next UTC day, and forward returns appear as 1, 7 and 30 days pass. Nothing is backfilled, so check back soon.
The historical backtest is still on each preset card in the screener. It is in-sample, so read it together with this page.
